Do I get one key for both products or two separate keys in this bundle?
You receive two separate product keys, one for Windows 11 Pro and one for Office 2021 Professional Plus, because they are two different Microsoft products that activate independently. There is no such thing as a combined Windows and Office key; Microsoft's activation systems for the two are entirely separate. The delivery email lists them under clear headings, "Windows 11 Pro key" and "Office 2021 Professional Plus key", each a 25-character string in five groups of five. The Windows key is entered during Windows Setup or in Settings, System, Activation. The Office key is entered in any Office application, typically Word, when it asks for activation after installation, or through the "Enter a product key instead" link on that screen. Because they are separate, they also have separate license records: Windows creates a digital license tied to the PC's motherboard, while Office ties the license to the Microsoft account you sign in with during activation. That means if you ever reinstall, Windows reactivates from the hardware and Office reinstalls from the account, and you rarely need to type either key again. Keep the email anyway, or store both keys in a password manager. If you lose it, our support team can look up the order and resend both keys.
Can I install Office 2021 from this bundle on a second PC, or on a Mac?
No, the Office 2021 Professional Plus key in this bundle licenses one Windows PC, and Professional Plus is a Windows-only edition, so it does not run on a Mac. The same applies to the Windows 11 Pro key: one PC. If you have a second computer that also needs Office, the cleanest option is our Office 2021 Professional Plus 5 PC license, which gives you five separate Office keys, or a second copy of this bundle if that computer also needs Windows. For a Mac, look at Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac in our Office for Mac category, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote for macOS. Some buyers try entering the Office key on two machines. The first activation binds the license to your Microsoft account and to that PC; a second activation attempt is refused, or in some cases it works briefly and then one installation drops to reduced functionality mode with a red "Product Activation Failed" bar. We cannot replace a key that has been used against its terms, so please assign it to one PC and keep it there. Moving Office to a replacement PC after the old one is retired is allowed, and covered in the question about transferring the licenses.
Is the Windows 11 key retail or OEM, and can I move both licenses to a new computer later?
The Windows 11 Pro key is a retail-type key and the Office 2021 license is a one-PC perpetual license bound to your Microsoft account; both can move to a replacement PC after you stop using them on the old one. For Windows, remove the key from the old machine by running slmgr /upk in an administrator command prompt, install Windows 11 Pro on the new PC and enter the same key. If Microsoft's servers say it is in use, sign in with the Microsoft account you linked and run the Activation troubleshooter, choosing "I changed hardware on this device recently". An OEM key, by contrast, would be stuck to the first motherboard forever, which is not the case here. For Office, uninstall it from the old PC, then on the new PC sign in at the Microsoft account services page, find Office Professional Plus 2021 under your products, click Install, and sign in inside Word when prompted. If the account page insists the install limit is reached, our support team can help you reset it. Both licenses are meant for one active PC at a time; running either on two machines simultaneously breaks the terms and eventually breaks activation. Done in the right order, a move takes well under an hour.
How long does delivery take, and what will I find in the email?
Both keys are delivered by email, normally within a few minutes of payment, at any time of day or night. The email contains the Windows 11 Pro product key, the Office 2021 Professional Plus product key, a link to Microsoft's official Windows 11 download page, a link to the Office 2021 installer, and our own step-by-step guide covering the order of installation and both activations. Nothing ships physically, so there is no waiting for a box and no disc to lose. If fifteen minutes pass with nothing in your inbox, check the spam and promotions folders, then open your account on our site, where both keys are also shown on the order details page. Card payments are occasionally held for a short fraud review by the payment processor; when that clears, the email goes out automatically, normally within the hour. If you realize the email address on the order was mistyped, message our support team with the order number and the right address and we will correct it and resend. We answer 24/7. One tip from experience: save the email as a PDF or forward it to a second address, since a bundle has two keys and you may need the Office one months later when the PC is finally reinstalled.
Does the bundle work in my language, and are 32-bit and 64-bit versions available?
Both products install in any language Microsoft offers, and the keys are not tied to a language or region. Windows 11 Pro is 64-bit only; Office 2021 comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit installers, and the same key activates either. For Windows, choose your language when you download the ISO or run the Media Creation Tool, and add further display languages later from Settings, Time and Language. For Office 2021, the installer we link to lets you pick the language, and additional language packs can be added afterwards from Microsoft's site at no cost, with proofing tools for spelling and grammar in each. Neither key is region locked, so a German Windows with an English Office, or the other way round, is fine. On the bit question: Windows 11 exists only as a 64-bit operating system, and since Office runs on top of it, we recommend the 64-bit Office installer as well. It handles large Excel workbooks and Access databases far better. The 32-bit Office build is only sensible if you depend on an old add-in that has no 64-bit version. Either way, one Office key covers both builds, and you can uninstall one and install the other without contacting anyone.
What happens to the two licenses if I change the motherboard?
The Windows 11 Pro license needs to be reactivated after a motherboard change, while the Office 2021 license is unaffected because it is bound to your Microsoft account rather than to the hardware. Windows stores its digital license against a hardware fingerprint built mostly from the motherboard, so a new board looks like a new PC and the Activation page shows "Windows is not activated", often with error 0xC004F211. Because the key is retail-type, you are entitled to reactivate. If you had signed in with a Microsoft account before the change, open Settings, System, Activation, click Troubleshoot, choose "I changed hardware on this device recently", sign in, and pick the device from the list. If not, re-enter the Windows key from the delivery email on the Activation page, which usually works directly. Office, on the other hand, simply carries on. When Word starts on the new board it may ask you to sign in again to confirm the license; sign in with the same Microsoft account and it shows "Product Activated" again. If you reinstalled Windows as part of the repair, reinstall Office from your Microsoft account's services page or the link in our email, and sign in. CPU, RAM, GPU and drive changes affect neither license.
Do I need a Microsoft account to activate Windows 11 Pro and Office 2021 in this bundle?
Windows 11 Pro does not require a Microsoft account, but Office 2021 Professional Plus does need one at activation, because that is where Microsoft stores the Office license. For Windows, the Pro edition lets you create a local account during Setup through "Sign-in options" and "Domain join instead", and activation with the product key happens directly against Microsoft's servers without a sign-in. For Office, after you enter the product key in Word, the activation wizard asks you to sign in with a Microsoft account or create one. This step takes a minute and it is worth it: the Office license is attached to that account permanently, so on any future reinstall you go to the account's services page, click Install, and Office comes down already licensed without you needing the key. The account can be a free Outlook.com or Hotmail address; it does not need to be the same account you use in Windows, and you do not have to keep using it in Windows afterwards. Businesses often create one shared account per PC for Office licenses and keep Windows on a domain login. Our suggestion is to sign in to Windows once as well, so the Windows license is linked and hardware changes are easy to fix later.
Will both products keep receiving updates, and what happens to Office 2021 after October 2026?
Windows 11 Pro receives updates indefinitely, and Office 2021 receives security updates until October 13, 2026, after which it keeps working without new patches. Windows Update delivers monthly cumulative updates and yearly feature updates (24H2 now, 25H2 rolling out) at no cost, and each feature update on Pro is supported for 36 months, so the operating system stays current for the life of the PC. Office 2021 follows Microsoft's fixed lifecycle for one-time-purchase suites: five years of security and stability updates delivered through the Office updater (File, Account, Update Options). When that period ends in October 2026, Word, Excel, Outlook and the rest continue to open, edit and save exactly as before; the license does not expire and activation continues to work, just as Office 2016 and 2019 do today after their own end of support. What you lose is new security fixes, which matters most if you open a lot of documents from strangers. If a long support window is important to you, our Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 Professional Plus bundle includes Office 2024, which is supported until October 9, 2029. Either way, nothing in this bundle ever asks for a renewal payment. Both updaters run quietly in the background, so there is nothing you need to schedule or remember.
Why buy the bundle instead of Windows 11 Pro alone and Microsoft 365?
The bundle is a one-time payment for both the operating system and a full Office suite, while Microsoft 365 charges every year for as long as you want to keep using Word and Excel. Over a five-year life of a PC, the subscription costs many times the price of this bundle. Microsoft 365 does include things Office 2021 does not: 1 TB of OneDrive storage, Copilot features, installation on several devices, and a continuous stream of new features. If you rely on those, the subscription is the right product. If, like most of our customers, you want Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher on one PC and simply want them to work for years without a bill, Office 2021 Professional Plus is the more sensible purchase, and getting it together with Windows 11 Pro in one order at a lower combined price is the point of this bundle. Office 2021's feature set is very close to what most people use in Microsoft 365 anyway: the same ribbon, dark mode, co-authoring on OneDrive files, Excel's XLOOKUP and dynamic arrays, and full compatibility with modern file formats. The saving compared with buying the two keys separately is computed from our current single-product prices and shown in the description above.
What is the difference between Office 2021 Professional Plus and Office 2021 Home and Business?
Office 2021 Professional Plus includes Access and Publisher in addition to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Teams, while Home and Business stops at Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. Professional Plus is the most complete edition of Office 2021 for Windows, which is why we use it in this bundle rather than a smaller edition. Access is Microsoft's desktop database, used by many small businesses for inventory, customer lists and internal tools that grew out of a spreadsheet. Publisher is the desktop publishing app for flyers, brochures and newsletters, and 2021 is one of the last releases to include it, since Microsoft has announced Publisher's retirement in 2026. Beyond the extra apps, Professional Plus supports features aimed at organizations, such as Information Rights Management and Group Policy settings for Office. The core apps themselves are identical across editions: Word in Professional Plus is the same Word as in Home and Business. If you only need the five core apps and want the Mac version, Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac is in our Office for Mac category. For Windows PCs, Professional Plus at our price is usually the better deal even if you never open Access. If you are unsure which edition suits you, our support team is happy to talk it through before you order.
What if one of the two keys does not activate, and how does the refund work for a bundle?
If either key does not activate and our team cannot fix it, we replace that key, and if a replacement is not possible we refund you; the other key in the bundle is unaffected. Most activation issues turn out to be simple. For Windows, a mistyped character (0 versus O), an edition mismatch such as a Pro N installation (error 0xC004F050), or a PC that was offline during activation. For Office, the usual causes are entering the key in the wrong place, having an old Office trial or Microsoft 365 leftover still installed (uninstall it first and restart), or being signed in to Word with a different Microsoft account than the one used at activation. Error 0xC004C008 on Windows, or "This product key has already been used" in Office, means the key was consumed before; this should never happen with a fresh key from us, and if you see it, send a screenshot straight away and we will replace it. Refunds are handled per component: if the Office key cannot be made to work and cannot be replaced, we refund the Office portion of the bundle, and likewise for Windows. We cannot refund a key that has activated successfully, since an activated license cannot be resold. Please contact us before opening a dispute; almost everything is resolved within a message or two.
Can I use this bundle to upgrade a PC that already runs Windows 10 or Windows 11 Home?
Yes, the Windows 11 Pro key upgrades an existing installation in place and the Office 2021 key installs on top of it, so no wipe is required unless you want one. On a PC running Windows 11 Home, go to Settings, System, Activation, click "Change product key", enter the Windows key, and the edition changes to Pro after one restart with files and apps intact. On a PC running Windows 10 Pro or Home, enter the key at Settings, Update and Security, Activation; the machine becomes Windows 10 Pro, and if it meets the Windows 11 requirements, Windows Update or the Installation Assistant then offers the free upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025, so this is a sensible moment to make the move. Office 2021 installs on Windows 10 or Windows 11, so you can install it before or after the upgrade. If the PC already has an old Office version (2013, 2016, 2019) or a Microsoft 365 trial, uninstall it first, restart, and then install Office 2021 to avoid activation confusion. Run Microsoft's PC Health Check before you start; on machines from 2017 to 2019 the TPM is frequently present but disabled in the BIOS.
Can I reinstall Windows and Office later without buying the bundle again?
Yes, both products can be reinstalled on the same PC as many times as you like without a new purchase. Windows 11 Pro stores a digital license for your motherboard after the first activation; on a later clean install, choose Pro from the edition list, click "I don't have a product key", and it activates by itself once online. Office 2021 Professional Plus is bound to the Microsoft account you signed in with during activation; to reinstall, sign in at the Microsoft account services page, find Office Professional Plus 2021 under Services and subscriptions, click Install, and sign in inside Word when it opens. Neither step normally requires typing the keys again, though having them in the delivery email is a useful fallback. A few practical notes: install Windows first and Office second; if the PC originally shipped with Windows 11 Home, Setup may pick Home automatically from the firmware key, so use the "I don't have a product key" option to see the edition list and select Pro; and make sure you sign in to Office with the same Microsoft account you used originally, otherwise Word will show the license as missing. If you have lost both the email and the account details, contact our support team with the order number and we will help.
Does Office 2021 Professional Plus in this bundle include Outlook, Access and Teams?
Yes, Office 2021 Professional Plus includes the classic desktop Outlook, Access and Teams, alongside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Publisher. Outlook 2021 is the full desktop email and calendar client that works with Exchange, Microsoft 365 mailboxes, Gmail, IMAP and POP accounts, and it is the version many businesses prefer over the newer web-based Outlook because of its rules, offline data files and add-in support. Access 2021 is the desktop relational database, useful for small business tools, forms and reports that outgrow Excel; note that it is Windows only. Teams is included as a free client and needs a Microsoft or work account to sign in, the same as it does for anyone downloading it from Microsoft. Publisher 2021 is present for flyers and newsletters, though Microsoft has announced it will be retired in 2026, so treat it as a bonus rather than a long-term tool. OneNote 2021 is the desktop notebook app. What Professional Plus does not include is OneDrive storage beyond the free 5 GB that comes with any Microsoft account, Copilot, or Skype minutes; those are Microsoft 365 subscription features. For most home and small business users, the eight applications here cover everything they need for years.
