Do I get one key for five computers or five separate Windows 11 Pro keys?
You receive five separate Windows 11 Pro product keys, each valid for one computer. This is deliberate and it works in your favor. A single key with five activations would be a volume license, which requires a volume agreement, and on reinstall or hardware change it behaves less predictably for a small office. Five individual retail-type keys mean each PC has its own digital license that is independent of the others. If one computer is replaced, you move only that key. If one is sold, you deactivate only that key. If one has an activation problem, the other four keep working. The delivery email lists the five keys one under the other, and we recommend recording which key was used on which machine, for example in the computer name (RECEPTION-PC, ROOM1-PC) or in a simple spreadsheet, so that years later you know exactly which license belongs where. All five keys are identical in what they provide: full Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, any language, lifetime license, permanent updates. There is no primary key and no secondary keys, and no order in which they have to be used. You can activate all five today or keep two in the drawer for machines you buy next quarter.
Can I activate the five keys on PCs in different locations, or do they have to be on one network?
The five keys can be used anywhere, on any network, in any country, and at any time; there is no requirement that the computers be connected to each other. Each key activates independently against Microsoft's servers when its PC goes online. A small business with a head office and two home-based staff can use three keys in the office and send one key each to the remote employees by email. A family can put one on a desktop in the living room, two on laptops that travel, and two on machines at a relative's house. Activation does not care about location and Windows 11 keys are not region-locked. The only rule is that each key is active on one PC at a time. If you later want to move a key from one location to another, deactivate it on the old machine first (slmgr /upk in an administrator command prompt) and then activate on the new one. Because the keys are independent, you do not need a domain, a server, a KMS host or any central management. Of course, if you do run a domain, all five machines can be joined to it since they are Pro edition, and Group Policy will apply across them in the normal way.
Is this pack cheaper than buying five single Windows 11 Pro keys, and how much do I save?
Yes, the 5 PC pack is priced below five individual keys, and the exact saving is shown on this page based on our current prices. At the time of writing, a single Windows 11 Pro key on our site is 10.99, so five of them would come to 54.95, while this pack is 20.99. That is a saving of 33.96, or about 4.20 per computer. Prices do move occasionally with our stock, so if the numbers on the product page differ slightly from these, the page is the one that counts. Beyond the price, the pack saves you administrative time: one checkout, one invoice with five licenses on it, and one email holding all five keys. That matters for a small office that expenses software or for a technician who bills a client for a batch of machines and needs a clean receipt. If you need more than five, buying the pack twice is usually the most economical route, and if you need an unusual number, for example seven or twelve, message our support team before ordering and we will arrange a single-invoice quote. We would rather you buy exactly what you need than have unused keys in a drawer.
Are these retail or OEM keys, and can I move a key to a new PC if an office computer dies?
They are retail-type Windows 11 Pro keys, so each one can be transferred to a replacement computer once it is removed from the old one. OEM licenses, the kind pre-installed on new laptops, are locked to the first motherboard forever and cannot be moved. Retail-type keys belong to you and follow you from machine to machine, one active PC at a time. When an office computer fails, the process is straightforward. If the old machine still boots, open an administrator command prompt and run slmgr /upk to remove the key, then slmgr /cpky to clear it from the registry. If it does not boot, skip that step. Install Windows 11 Pro on the replacement, enter the same key during Setup or in Settings, System, Activation. If Microsoft's servers reply that the key is in use, sign in with the Microsoft or work account that was used on the old machine and run the Activation troubleshooter, choosing "I changed hardware on this device recently", then select the old PC from the list. For a small office this is another reason to keep a record of which key went where. Should the troubleshooter not resolve it, our support team can help; just send the error code.
How fast is delivery for the 5 PC pack, and how do I get an invoice for my business?
All five keys are delivered by email, normally within a few minutes of payment, and a tax invoice showing five Windows 11 Pro licenses is available from your account page immediately after the order. The email contains the five product keys, the link to Microsoft's official Windows 11 download page, and our step-by-step activation guide covering both clean installs and Home to Pro edition changes. If you need the invoice to show a company name, VAT or tax number, or a purchase order reference, add those details in the billing fields during checkout or send them to our support team afterwards and we will reissue the invoice with the correct information. Many small offices order on a company card and forward the invoice straight to their accountant, which is exactly what it is designed for. If the email has not arrived within fifteen minutes, check spam and promotions folders, then check the order page in your account where the keys are also shown. Card payments are sometimes held briefly for a fraud check by the payment processor; when that clears the keys go out automatically. Our support team is reachable 24/7 for anything delivery related, and we can resend keys to a different address if the original was mistyped.
Do the keys work with any language of Windows 11, and is there a 32-bit option?
The five keys work with any language version of Windows 11 Pro, and there is no 32-bit option because Windows 11 is 64-bit only. Product keys carry no language information, so one office can install English on three machines, Spanish on one and French on the fifth, all with keys from the same pack. You download the language you want from Microsoft's site or pick it in the Media Creation Tool, and the key activates regardless. Additional display languages can be added later from Settings, Time and Language, and each user on a shared PC can even have a different display language. Regarding architecture, Microsoft ended 32-bit builds with Windows 11, so every Windows 11 Pro key is by definition 64-bit. If you have a legacy 32-bit application, 64-bit Windows runs almost all of them without any special steps, and Pro includes Hyper-V if something truly needs an old 32-bit operating system in a virtual machine. One edition caveat: these keys are for the standard Pro edition, not Pro N (the European variant without Media Player). If a machine currently runs Windows 11 Home N, a standard Pro key will not change its edition, so check Settings, System, About before you assign keys.
What happens if one of the five PCs gets a new motherboard?
Only that one PC's license is affected, and it can be reactivated, because the five licenses are completely independent of each other. Windows ties each digital license to a hardware fingerprint that is mostly derived from the motherboard. A new board makes Windows think it is a new computer, and the Activation page shows "Windows is not activated" with an error such as 0xC004F211. The other four machines never notice. To recover the affected one, the smoothest path is to have signed in with a Microsoft or work account before the repair, so the license is linked to the account. After the new board is in, go to Settings, System, Activation, click Troubleshoot, choose "I changed hardware on this device recently", sign in, and pick the device from the list. Activation returns within seconds. If no account was linked, enter that PC's product key from the delivery email on the Activation page, which resolves it in most cases. This is also where your record of which key belongs to which PC pays off, because you will know exactly which of the five to enter. If neither method works, send our support team the error code and a screenshot and we will assist. CPU, RAM, disk and graphics card replacements do not affect activation at all.
Do I need Microsoft accounts on the five PCs to activate them?
No, activation with a product key does not require a Microsoft account on any of the five machines, and Windows 11 Pro lets you create local accounts during Setup. This is one of the practical reasons small offices choose Pro over Home. During a clean install, Pro's Setup shows "Sign-in options" and then "Domain join instead", which creates a traditional local user with a password stored only on that PC. Activation happens separately, directly between Windows and Microsoft's servers, using the product key. That said, we suggest linking each license to some account at least once, either a personal Microsoft account or, for businesses, a Microsoft 365 or Azure AD work account. When a license is linked, any later hardware change is fixed with the Activation troubleshooter rather than by re-entering keys. You can link and then switch back to a local account; the link stays. If your office runs a domain, join the machines to it and skip consumer Microsoft accounts entirely. For a family setup, each person can sign in with their own Microsoft account on their own machine, or share a local account, whichever suits you. The five licenses do not need to be under one account.
Will all five PCs keep getting Windows updates, and is there any annual fee?
Yes, every PC activated with one of these keys receives all Windows 11 updates for the life of the machine, and there is no annual fee, subscription or renewal of any kind. This is a one-time purchase of five lifetime licenses. Windows Update delivers monthly cumulative security updates on the second Tuesday of each month, optional previews later in the month, and one feature update per year; the current one is 24H2 with 25H2 rolling out. On the Pro edition each feature update is supported for 36 months, so machines that install feature updates when offered remain within Microsoft's support window indefinitely. Pro also gives an office more control over updates than Home: you can pause updates for up to five weeks, set active hours, defer feature updates, and use Group Policy or Windows Update for Business settings to hold all five machines on the same version, which keeps software testing simple. Nothing about updates differs between a PC activated with a pack key and one activated with a single key; Microsoft's servers see the same Windows 11 Pro retail-type license either way. If Microsoft releases a future major version of Windows, we cannot promise its terms in advance, but historically activated Pro devices have been offered the upgrade free of charge.
What is the difference between Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Home for a small office?
Windows 11 Pro adds the security and management features an office actually uses, while Home covers the basics of a personal PC. The features that matter for a business are BitLocker encryption with control over recovery keys, which protects client data on laptops that leave the building; Remote Desktop host, so staff can connect to their office PC from home; domain and Azure AD join, so accounts and passwords are managed centrally; Group Policy, so you can lock down settings across all five machines consistently; Hyper-V and Windows Sandbox for testing software safely; Windows Information Protection and Assigned Access for kiosk-style machines; and the ability to create local accounts during setup without a Microsoft account. Home has none of these. It also insists on an internet connection and a Microsoft account during setup, which many businesses find awkward. Performance, drivers, Office compatibility and everyday applications are identical, because both editions are the same build of Windows. For a family with five computers, Pro is still often the better buy for BitLocker and Remote Desktop alone, but if none of the features above matter to you, our Windows 11 Home key is the lower-cost option. This pack is Pro on all five keys.
What if a key does not work, and how does the refund work when it is part of a pack?
If one key does not activate and our team cannot fix it, we replace that key, and if a replacement is not possible we refund you; the other four keys are unaffected. Because the pack is five independent keys, a problem is always isolated to one machine, and in practice most reports turn out to be quick fixes rather than faulty keys. The most common issues are a mistyped character (0 and O, 8 and B), which is why we say paste rather than type; a mismatch between the installed edition and the key, for example a Pro N or Home N installation, which gives error 0xC004F050; a PC that is offline during activation; or Microsoft's activation service being briefly slow, which clears up after a short wait. If a fresh key reports "already in use" (0xC004C008), send a screenshot at once and we will investigate and replace it. For refunds, we refund the portion of the order that could not be made to work when a replacement is not possible. We cannot refund keys that have successfully activated, because an activated license cannot be resold. Please contact us before opening a payment dispute; nearly everything is resolved within a message or two, and our support team is available 24/7.
Can I use these keys to upgrade PCs that currently run Windows 10 or Windows 11 Home?
Yes, each key can either perform a clean install or upgrade an existing installation in place, and you can use a mix of both methods across the five machines. On a PC already running Windows 11 Home, open Settings, System, Activation, click "Change product key", enter one of the pack keys, and Windows changes the edition to Pro after a single restart, keeping files and apps. On a PC running Windows 10 Pro, entering the key at Settings, Update and Security, Activation activates Windows 10 Pro; the machine can then take the free upgrade to Windows 11 Pro through Windows Update or the Installation Assistant if it meets the hardware requirements. On a PC running Windows 10 Home, the key first changes it to Windows 10 Pro, then the Windows 11 upgrade follows. Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025, so moving qualifying machines up is worthwhile. Check each PC with the PC Health Check app; on many machines from 2017 to 2019 the TPM is present but disabled in the BIOS, and enabling it removes the compatibility warning. Machines that genuinely cannot run Windows 11 should use our Windows 10 Pro 5 PC pack instead, and those keys will still activate Windows 11 Pro if the hardware is later replaced.
Can I reinstall Windows 11 Pro on any of the five PCs later without buying new keys?
Yes, every PC that has been activated once can be reinstalled on the same hardware as often as needed, with no new purchase. Microsoft stores a digital license for each machine's motherboard after the first activation. On a later clean install from the official Windows 11 media, choose Windows 11 Pro from the edition list, click "I don't have a product key" if prompted, and connect to the internet after Setup. Windows recognizes the hardware and activates itself without you typing anything. This works months or years later. If the PC originally shipped with Windows 11 Home, Setup may automatically pick Home because it reads the OEM key from the firmware; in that case use the "I don't have a product key" option to see the edition list and select Pro, or enter your pack key on the Activation page afterwards. Keep the delivery email, because knowing which key belongs to which PC is the fastest way to resolve any activation surprise. If the email is lost, our support team can look up your order by email address or order number and resend all five keys. Reinstalling on a completely different PC is a transfer rather than a reinstall, and that is covered in the question about a dead office computer.
Can I use one of the five keys inside a virtual machine, and does that count as a PC?
Yes, a key from the pack can activate Windows 11 Pro inside a virtual machine, and the VM counts as one of your five PCs. Microsoft treats each virtual machine as a separate device that needs its own license, so if you run Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, VirtualBox or Parallels and want a Windows 11 Pro guest, assign one key to it exactly as you would to a physical computer. Windows 11 in a VM still needs a virtual TPM 2.0 and UEFI with Secure Boot; Hyper-V Generation 2 VMs, recent VMware and Parallels versions provide these, and VirtualBox added TPM support in version 7. Activation inside the VM works the same way, online, and the digital license attaches to the virtual hardware identifiers. Be aware that some hypervisors regenerate those identifiers if you clone or move the VM, which can trigger reactivation; the Activation troubleshooter with a linked account handles that. A common small-office use is a single Pro workstation running one or two VMs for legacy accounting software or for testing updates before rolling them out to the other machines. If your plan involves many VMs, ask our support team; a second pack or a different edition may be more economical than stretching five keys.
