Windows 11 Pro for 5 PCs Download & Activation Guide

How to download, install and activate Windows 11 Pro on five PCs

Your order email holds five separate Windows 11 Pro product keys, one per computer. The download comes from Microsoft at microsoft.com/software-download/windows11, and the same installer or USB drive serves all five machines. On each PC you install or upgrade, then open Settings, System, Activation and enter that PC’s own key.

Before you start

The only thing that makes a five pack different is bookkeeping. Sort out which key belongs to which computer and the rest is ordinary Windows 11 Pro activation.

  • Open your order email and count the keys. Five distinct 25-character keys. They also sit in your account on our site.
  • Name your five computers. Write a list: Key 1 to the office desktop, Key 2 to the laptop, and so on.
  • Check each PC against the requirements. The table below is the short version, and PC Health Check is the quick test for TPM and Secure Boot.
  • Back up anything you cannot replace. An edition upgrade keeps your files. A clean install erases the drive you pick.
  • Sign in as an administrator. Settings, Accounts, Your info shows Administrator under your name.

Step 1

Download Windows 11 once for all five PCs

Every Windows 11 edition ships inside the same installation files, so there is no special five pack download. Build the media once and reuse it. If a PC already runs Windows 11, skip to Step 3.

  1. Installation Assistant. Best for a PC on Windows 10 that you want moved to Windows 11 without losing anything.
  2. Media Creation Tool. Makes a bootable USB drive from an 8 GB stick. One stick installs all five PCs.
  3. ISO file. Download once, then mount it on each PC or write it to USB with your own tool.
  4. Keep it somewhere shared. A network folder or one USB stick saves downloading five times.

Download only from microsoft.com. Sites offering pre-activated ISOs are not Microsoft, and we cannot support keys used with them.

Step 2

Install Windows 11 Pro on each computer

Work through the machines one at a time. The route depends on what that PC runs today.

  1. Already on Windows 11 Pro? Nothing to install. Go to Step 3 and enter that PC’s key.
  2. On Windows 11 Home? No download needed. Settings, System, Activation, Upgrade your edition of Windows switches it in place and keeps your files.
  3. On Windows 10? Run the Installation Assistant, or boot the USB drive and choose Upgrade to keep files and apps.
  4. Doing a clean install? Boot the USB stick using the boot menu key shown as the logo appears, often F12, F11 or Esc. Choose I do not have a product key, pick Windows 11 Pro from the edition list, then activate afterwards.
  5. Repeat for the next PC. Same media, same steps. Only the key changes.

Choosing the wrong edition during setup is the usual cause of a rejected key later. Our Windows 11 Pro guide has the single-PC walkthrough in full.

Step 3

Activate each PC with its own product key

One key, one computer. Do not try the same key on a second machine, because the activation servers count the attempt and the key locks.

  1. Open Activation on the first PC. Settings, System, Activation.
  2. Click Change product key. Select Change next to Product key, then use the first key from your order email.
  3. Enter the 25 characters and click Next. Dashes are added for you. Windows checks with Microsoft and activates within seconds.
  4. Write down which key went to that PC. Put the last five characters next to the computer name on your list. That is what saves you if the machine is rebuilt later.
  5. Move to the next computer. Repeat with keys two to five, noting each one as you go.

If a key is refused with a server error, use telephone activation. Run slui 4, choose your country and read the Installation ID to the automated line. Our Confirmation ID guide covers every screen, and we will do the call with you.

Check that all five worked

Run these checks on each computer before you move on.

  • Settings, System, Activation. Reads Windows is activated with a digital license.
  • Settings, System, About. Edition reads Windows 11 Pro.
  • Pro features are present. BitLocker, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop host and Group Policy Editor appear in Start menu search.
  • Your key list is complete. Five computer names, five keys, each one ticked off.

Common errors and how to fix them

These are the errors a multi-PC pack runs into. Send a screenshot of anything else and we answer the same day.

0xC004C008: the key has already been used on another PC

This is the classic five pack mistake: the same key has been entered on more than one computer, and each of your five keys covers one PC. Check your notes, find a key you have not used yet and enter that instead. If every key is genuinely on its own machine and you still see this, email contact@officegsm.com with your order number and the last five characters of the key and we replace it.

0xC004F050: the product key entered did not work

The key and the installed edition do not match, which on a clean install usually means Home was selected instead of Pro. Check Settings, System, About. If Edition reads Home, use Upgrade your edition of Windows on the Activation page, then enter the key again. A single mistyped character causes the same error, so paste the key rather than typing it.

0xC004C003: the activation server determined the key is blocked

Microsoft has flagged that key and nothing on the PC changes that. Email us your order number and a screenshot and we issue a replacement, usually the same day. Our 180-day money-back guarantee stands behind it: if a replacement cannot be activated either, you get a refund. Retrying a blocked key does not clear it, so stop after the first failure.

0xC004F074: Windows cannot reach the activation servers

The licensing service could not get out to Microsoft, and VPNs, company proxies and a wrong system clock are the usual causes. Disconnect the VPN, confirm the date, time and time zone in Settings, Time and language, then try again. If it still fails, run slui 4 and activate by telephone. This error says nothing about the key itself.

Windows 11 Pro 5 PC license questions

What buyers of the five pack ask us most.

Is it one key for five PCs or five separate keys?

Five separate keys, one per computer. Your order email lists all five, and each is a full Windows 11 Pro product key with its own activation. That is why we ask you to note which key went to which machine: if you rebuild a PC in two years, you enter the same key again and it activates, while a key from another machine will not. Windows counts activation attempts per key, so entering one key on two computers locks it rather than covering both.

Do the five computers have to be in the same place?

No. They can be in different rooms, different buildings or different cities, and they do not need to be on the same network or signed in to the same Microsoft account. Each PC activates on its own against Microsoft over the internet. People commonly use a pack like this across a family, a small office or a mix of desktops and laptops, including machines bought years apart. The only rule that matters is one key per computer, entered on that computer and nowhere else.

Can I move a key to a replacement computer?

Yes. The license is not tied to the hardware forever. Remove or retire the old PC, then enter that key on the new machine under Settings, System, Activation, Change product key. Take the old PC out of service first, because two live activations on one key is what trips the servers. If the new machine is refused online, activate by telephone with slui 4 and the Confirmation ID route, which exists for exactly this situation. Tell us the order number if the call does not go through.

Do I need a Microsoft account to activate?

Not for activation itself, which happens against Microsoft’s servers using the key alone. Windows 11 setup does push you towards signing in, and there is a real benefit in doing it: the license gets linked to your account as a digital license, so a reinstall reactivates on its own. If you prefer local accounts the key still works, you just keep your key list closer to hand. Need one more machine covered? A single Windows 11 Pro key sits alongside the rest of our Windows 11 licenses.
