How to install and activate the Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 bundle
This Windows 11 Office 2024 bundle holds two keys for one computer: Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 Professional Plus. Windows comes from microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 and activates in Settings, System, Activation. Office 2024 Professional Plus is a volume edition, so it installs from the link in your order email and activates inside Word under File, Account. Allow about an hour.

Before you start
Bundles go wrong in two ways: the pieces are done in the wrong order, or the Office key is typed into setup.office.com, which never takes volume keys.
- Find both keys in your order email. One says Windows 11 Pro, the other Office 2024 Professional Plus. Not interchangeable.
- Pick the computer. Both keys belong to the same PC. A second machine needs its own Office license.
- Remove Microsoft 365 and older Office first. Settings, Apps, Installed apps. A leftover install is the usual cause of a failed Office 2024 setup.
- Check the PC against Windows 11 requirements. PC Health Check tests TPM and Secure Boot for you.
- Back up anything you cannot replace. A clean install erases the drive you select. An upgrade does not.

Download Windows 11 and Office 2024 Professional Plus
The two halves come from different places. Windows is on Microsoft’s public download page. Office 2024 Professional Plus is not, because volume editions are never offered there, so it comes from the installer link in your order email or from the Office Deployment Tool.
- Get Windows 11 first. Installation Assistant for an upgrade, Media Creation Tool for an 8 GB USB stick, or the ISO.
- Open the Office link in your order email. It fetches the Office 2024 Professional Plus installer. Save it, do not run it yet.
- Or use the Office Deployment Tool. If your email sends you there, the configuration file we include picks Professional Plus and the right bit version.
- Skip setup.office.com entirely. That page only takes Home and Business style keys and will refuse this one.
Downloads come from microsoft.com and from the link we sent you, nothing else. If your link has expired, reply to the order email and we send a fresh one.
Install Windows 11 Pro, then Office 2024
Order matters. Office writes itself into the Windows installation, so putting Office on before a Windows rebuild means installing it twice.
- Install or upgrade Windows 11. On Windows 10, run the Installation Assistant to keep files and apps. On Windows 11 Home, use Upgrade your edition of Windows. For a clean install, boot the USB and pick Windows 11 Pro.
- Run Windows Update to the end. A fully patched PC avoids most Office installer errors.
- Remove anything Office-shaped. Settings, Apps, Installed apps. Take out Microsoft 365 trials and older Office, then restart.
- Run the Office 2024 installer. It works through a progress window, usually ten to twenty minutes. Stay online until it finishes.
- Open Word. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access appear in the Start menu. Your order email lists what your edition includes.
Office 2024 Professional Plus and Microsoft 365 do not sit well together on one PC. If you want to keep a subscription, contact us before installing.
Activate Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 separately
Two keys, two places. Neither works where the other goes, so keep the order email open.
- Activate Windows first. Settings, System, Activation, Change product key. Enter the Windows 11 Pro key and click Next.
- Open Word on the same PC. A blank document is enough. Close the Microsoft account sign-in box if it appears.
- Go to File, Account. Product Information shows Change Product Key or Activate Product.
- Enter the Office 2024 Professional Plus key. Paste the 25 characters and click Activate. The banner across the top disappears.
- Leave the other apps alone. Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook pick the license up on their own.

Check that both halves worked
Four looks tell you the bundle is licensed.
- Settings, System, Activation. Reads Windows is activated with a digital license.
- Settings, System, About. Edition reads Windows 11 Pro.
- Word, File, Account. Product Information names Office Professional Plus 2024 and reads Product Activated.
- No yellow banner. Nothing across the top of Word or Excel about an unlicensed product.
Common errors and how to fix them

setup.office.com will not take the Office 2024 key
Professional Plus is a volume edition, and setup.office.com only redeems Home and Business style keys, so it refuses this one however carefully you type. Nothing is broken and no activation is lost. Use the installer link in your order email, then activate in Word under File, Account, Change Product Key. If the link has expired, reply to the email and we send a fresh one.
0xC004C020: the activation limit has been reached
This is the volume licensing message and it means the key goes through telephone activation instead of online. In Word, File, Account, Change Product Key, enter the key, then follow the wizard when it offers phone activation. You read an Installation ID to an automated line and type back the Confirmation ID. 30015-25 or 30038-25 during the Office install
Another Office is in the way: a Microsoft 365 trial that came with the PC, an older Office, or a half-removed installation. Open Settings, Apps, Installed apps, remove everything named Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office, restart the computer, then run the installer again. The restart matters, because those files stay locked until the PC reboots. If the installer still stops, tell us the full error code and we will send the removal tool for that version.
Word says Unlicensed Product after it worked before
The license is usually still valid and Office has lost contact with it, often after a large Windows update. Open any Office app, go to File, Account, then Update Options, Update Now, and restart the PC. If the banner stays, re-enter the key under Change Product Key. If it is refused then, email us the order number and we will look at replacing the key.

Can I use the two keys on two different computers?
No. The bundle is two licenses for one computer, and both keys belong on the same machine. Splitting them is outside what the license covers and it causes trouble when either PC is rebuilt. If Office is what you need on a second computer, a standalone Office 2024 Professional Plus license installs exactly the same way, from the same kind of order-email link. Ask us first if you are not sure which machine should get what, and we will tell you plainly rather than sell you something you do not need.
Do I have to install Windows before Office?
It is strongly advised. Office writes itself into the Windows installation, so installing Office and then clean installing Windows means doing Office all over again. If the PC already runs a properly activated Windows 11 Pro and you are happy with it, go straight to the Office half and keep the Windows key for the day you rebuild the machine. The one thing to avoid is installing Office and then wiping Windows underneath it, because the Office key then has to be entered a second time.
How is Office 2024 Professional Plus different from Microsoft 365?
Office 2024 Professional Plus is a one-time purchase that stays on the computer with no subscription and no renewal. Microsoft 365 is billed monthly or yearly and adds cloud storage and continuous feature updates.
